The USS Reprisal was the dream of Greg Franklin and was launched in early 1997 with the help of David Richardson, Wade and Melissa Larkin. After Franklin retired from Fleet service for the first time , the name of the chapter was changed to the USS Revelation in 2009. The name USS Reprisal was brought back in 2016 to celebrate Franklin's return.
After the untimely passing of our second officer, Charlie Hess in January of 2024 and the ensuing retirement of all things fandom and SFI by Greg Franklin in April of 2024, the crew began to question our path forward. After much discussion, it was decided in October of 2024 to change the name and class of the chapter (USS Vengeance) in order to move forward and keep up with the future of STARFLEET International.
In the History of the USS Reprisal, the USS Revelation and the USS Vengeance, the only people to serve as Commanding Officer are Greg Franklin and Wade Larkin. Most recently, Franklin served from 2019 until April 2024. Wade Larkin has now assumed command and presided over the name change and class upgrade. The official commissioning date for the USS Vengeance was January 11, 2025, chosen to honor the passing of Second Officer Charlie Hess.
